Gosen Casting 16-braid is the winner of Efftex 2017 in the best braid category. Gosen's engineers managed to design a 16-fibre with a very small diameter, resulting in a phenomenally smooth surface and a very long casting range.

The GOSEN 16-strand braid is made from Toyobo fibres from the Japanese company Izanas. It is currently the only 16 strand braid in the world. The latest Toyobo fibres are stronger than high-quality Dyneema fibres. The 16 fibres make this line stronger than any 8 strand braid on the market. This product is characterised by a very high water absorption resistance, incredible knot strength, high braid density. This braid is extremely smooth, incredibly sensitive to strikes and provides the perfect balance between stiffness and softness of the line, making it ideal for casting.The 16 strands make this braid perfectly round, so it lays perfectly in the guides.
